WARRANTY, RETURNS, AND REFUNDS POLICY
Effective Date: 1st December 2025
PART A: EXTENDED WARRANTY POLICY FOR GRIPPY®
1. DEFINITION OF DEFECT:
A “Defect” is strictly defined as a fault in quality or potency required by law (Section 2(10), Consumer Protection Act 2019). It excludes normal wear and tear of mechanical parts (servos, tendons), aesthetic damage, and battery degradation.
2. SPECIFIC WARRANTY PERIODS:
Warranty coverage under original configuration during time of Fitment of the Device is strictly limited to the periods defined below, commencing from the Date of Purchase:

Warranty of replacement parts is as listed on specific listings on the Robo Bionics e-shop.
3. OBSOLESCENCE AND UPGRADE CREDIT:
If parts for an older model are discontinued or unavailable, preventing a repair under Extended Warranty, Robo Bionics will offer a Pro-Rata Upgrade Credit. The credit value will be calculated based on the remaining months of the warranty period. This credit can be applied towards the purchase of a newer generation device. This replaces any obligation to repair the obsolete unit.
4. SERVICE LOGISTICS:
- Issue Logging: All issues must be logged at the earliest possible after facing the issue via robobionics.freshdesk.com.
- Remote Diagnosis: All claims shall start with a remote diagnosis based on the logging via robobionics.freshdesk.com. Customer compliance is anticipated for the same.
- Logistics: The user bears responsibility for safe packaging and shipping to the Factory Service Centre or can request Robo Bionics to arrange shipping on a “To Pay” basis, unless covered by services agreed upon in a “Plus” or “Pro” plan.
PART B: RETURNS AND REFUNDS (E-COMMERCE)
1. CUSTOM-MADE EXCEPTION (NO REFUND):
Custom Prosthetic Devices, Sockets, and allied accessories like WeightBand™ and BrawnBand™ interfaces, and Personalized 3D Gifts are Non-Refundable.
- These goods are custom-made to your specific physiological specifications (stump geometry/MMG calibration) or patient choices.
- Pursuant to Consumer Protection Act, 2019 exceptions for custom goods, we do not accept returns for “change of mind” once the fabrication process has begun.
2. DEAD ON ARRIVAL (DOA):
We offer a Limited 48-Hour DOA Warranty. If a product arrives broken or non-functional, you must report it within 48 hours of delivery with video proof for a free replacement.
3. LIABILITY CAP (REFUNDS/DAMAGES):
In the event of a valid claim for damages arising from a product defect or service failure (excluding DOA replacements), our liability to refund or compensate is strictly capped at 50% of the Order Value paid by the customer.
